In 17th-century France, Corinne, a spirited 17-year-old from Gascony, dreams of becoming a Musketeer like her father, D’Artagnan. Accompanied by her kitten Miette and horse Alexander, she travels to Paris to pursue her ambition. However, upon arrival, Corinne faces ridicule and skepticism about her aspirations. She finds work as a palace maid under the strict Madame de Bossé, where she meets three other young women—Viveca, Aramina, and Renée—who secretly share her dream of becoming Musketeers.
While working in the palace, the four girls witness a chandelier nearly falling on Prince Louis. Corinne discovers a gemstone near the cut rope, suspecting foul play. Their suspicions grow when Corinne saves the prince from another accident involving his hot-air balloon. An elderly maid named Hélène overhears their concerns and leads them to a hidden Musketeer training room. Under Hélène’s guidance, the girls train rigorously, honing their skills in secret. They uncover a plot by the prince’s cousin, Philippe, to assassinate Louis and claim the throne. Determined to protect the prince, the girls prepare to confront the danger head-on.
